HOW IT ALL STARTED
We first opened our sausage roll haven at Brighton Open Market as a pop up stall on Saturdays but the demand for our porky treats lead us to opening the first This Little Piggy kitchen within Brighton Open Market in April 2016. Since then, we have continued to steadily grow through farmers markets and by selling to other cafes, pubs and delis around Sussex. Just over 2 years later, our second shop on St James’ Street, Kemptown, was born.
WHAT WE OFFER
This Little Piggy is a sausage roll lover’s dream, 10 different flavours of mini handmade sausage rolls can be found, all encased in a golden all butter pastry. Flavours range from the American Breakfast (free range Sussex pork, smokey bacon & maple syrup) to Peking Pork (free range Sussex pork, hoisin sauce, green peppers & spring onion). Of course, for the more traditional among us, you can pig out with the Original One with sage and onion or the Perfect Match with rosemary and garlic! Simply roll up and make your choice of 5 (£3.50) or 10 (£6) rolls and build a pig-n-mix bag to really pig out on! Vegetarian and vegans are also well fed for with a range of flavours for the herbivores!
And it doesn’t even end there! In our Kemptown store we have so many locally sourced goodies crammed into this tiny foodie heavenfreshly made sandwiches and cakes based on the tag line ‘Old Favourites, New Flavours’ adorn the grab and go counter as well as local chutneys, condiments, bacon jam and liquid smoke! But, it's what is lurking in their deli fridge that really makes it this shop a go to destination...crammed with local and artisan cheese and charcuterie to compliment the fresh bread that’s delivered daily from Brighton's favourite Flour Pot bakery. Expect British free range saucisson, spicy nduja, many different flavours of the unbeatable Lancashire Bombs and Brighton Blue!
